New Zealand Earthquake and Rapture 6 P.M; Harold Camping “WRONG”?

“When that great earthquake occurs”. The whole world will instantly know that Judgment Day has begun.” The ads are the work of Family Radio, an Oakland-based network run by 89-year-old Harold Camping.

“We know without any shadow of a doubt it is going to happen,” the minister who has gullible people eating out of his hands thanks to his weird prediction, told Reuters. "The earthquakes will then roll on, time zone by time zone. The saved, perhaps 2% to 3% of the world population, will be whisked to God, while the rest will be obliterated in what he calls "a super horror story."

Auckland Catholic Church spokeswoman Lyndsay Freer told NZPA church attendance had not increased at all since Camping's warnings. Meanwhile in Vietnam, thousands of ethnic Hmong converged on northwestern Dien Bien province a few weeks ago after hearing broadcasts on his prediction.

Will the 89-year-old be Harold Camping "WRONG"? It's not first time. He had previously incorrectly predicted the end of the world in 1994. Warnings by a U.S. fundamentalist preacher that Saturday is Judgment Day have sent some people into hiding or scrambling to repent, while others are planning parties to wave off good Christians. Harold Camping declared that Judgement Day will arrive first in New Zealand at 6pm today.
